Aquarium Mounted Wicking Pots

1. Mount the Planter

Choose the correct bracket for your aquarium:

• Rimmed tanks
• Rimless tanks

Each bracket secures the planter at the tank’s edge, keeping it stable while giving your plant direct access to moisture and light.

2. Insert the Wick

Each Mossari Planter includes a durable, non-degrading wick that sits inside the bottom of the pot and extends into your aquarium water. As the plant draws moisture, the wick continuously replenishes it from below.

3. Add Soil or Substrate

Each planter comes with a carefully selected substrate:

• Tropical blend for moisture-loving houseplants
• Coarse-grade coco coir for orchids and epiphytes

These mixes are formulated to:

• Prevent waterlogging
• Promote airflow
• Support healthy root growth

4. Plant & Position

Add your chosen houseplant, such as pothos, ferns, peace lily, or an orchid, and place the planter where it will receive the right amount of light. The height of the planter can be adjusted using modular extensions (sold separately).

5. Let Nature Handle the Watering

The wick keeps the soil evenly moist, so you don’t have to. Your plant draws only what it needs. Meanwhile, it helps absorb excess nutrients from the aquarium, improving water quality for your aquatic life.

🧠 Materials Matter: Why We Use PETG

All Mossari Planters are 3D printed using PETG, a premium material chosen for:

• Water resistance
• Durability
• Fish-safe, plant-safe composition

Unlike PLA, which is common in hobby printing, PETG holds up much better in high-humidity or submerged environments. That makes it the ideal material for a self-watering aquarium planter.
